Doctoral's Degree Doctor of Philosophy (Media and Communication) (PhD) (Regular)

The Doctoral Program in Media and Communication adopts an integrative perspective on the role of communication in the digital era—spanning the individual level (interpersonal communication), the organizational level (corporate communication and media policy), and the broader socio-cultural level (media technologies, diversity, sustainability, and cultural studies). The program is dedicated to generating new knowledge that contributes meaningfully to society.

5. Program Objectives

     The program aims to produce graduates who:

  1. Demonstrate profound knowledge in media and communication theory and research, as both scholars and professionals.
  2. Generate new knowledge in media and communication that can be applied to address organizational challenges and advance academic scholarship to a level of recognized and citable excellence.
  3. Uphold social responsibility and adhere to ethical standards in both academic and professional practice.

6. Program-Level Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

  1. Produce high-quality research in accordance with principles of integrity and ethics in academic practice, professional conduct, and the responsible use of media and communication technologies.
  2. Generate new knowledge grounded in rigorous research and theoretical foundations in media and communication.

7. Class Schedule

Classes are conducted during regular working days and hours.

9. Academic System and Duration

The program follows a semester system. Each academic year consists of two regular semesters, each lasting no fewer than 15 weeks.

11. The program admits both Thai and international applicants who demonstrate strong proficiency in the Thai language.
